Health Center Growth Initiative (HCGI)

CPCA’s immense advocacy efforts helped result in President George W. Bush launching the Health Center Growth Initiative (HCGI) to increase access to primary health-care services through expansion of the health center program. The initiative nearly doubled federal health center funding to implement and sustain the expansion from $1 billion in 2000 to more than $2 billion.
